Flush Fit

Zefyr’s floor Flush Fit Access Hatches are formed from Galvanised Mild Steel Plate as standard, but can be manufactured from stainless steel or aluminium for lighter loads.

Zefyr’s Floor Flush Fit Access Hatches are designed to sit in a preformed recess, making our Access Hatch flush with the floor surface and able to withstand wheel loads of up to 1.5 tonne (15kN) (Galvanised Mild Steel). All Floor Flush Fit Access Hatches come with internal drainage options and anti-slip tread plate lids.

Lighter load Access Hatches (Aluminium) are available in a comprehensive range of non-metallic colours and finishes as standard.

As standard, Zefyr’s hinged, self-locking grid provides an extended handhold for safe ladder decent when in the open position. The grid also acts as a physical barrier to prevent accidental lid closure when open, or unauthorised entry when closed. (Access Hatches with clear opening of less than 500mm square to not require safety grids due to the small aperture size).

Upstand

Zefyr’s Floor Upstand Access Hatches are formed from galvanised mild steel plate as standard, but can be manufactured from stainless steel or aluminium for lighter loads.
Zefyr’s Floor Upstand Access Hatches are designed to fit onto any preformed upstand and include a closed EPDM seal, which is fitted to the lid to avoid damage. Lid supports prevent excess compression to the seal.
